Set in the Bionicle world, The
Insurgent is the epic tale of a matoran's uprising and resistance to an
oppressive and secretive rule. A veteran of the fierce battles
resulting in the removal of the Krahli order enforcers, conflict and
deception is nothing new to him. Turaga Dume, leader of the city of
Metru Nui, has reinstated previous enforcement measures to aid in
keeping the peace, calming the uproar of the city. However, a suspicion
begins to grow that Dume may be planning more than meets the eye...
This is our biggest game at the moment, with the public beta demo alone
garnering over 2000
total downloads. It includes work by every person on the team. We have
already been working on this for about 2 and a half years
and have put literally thousands
of hours into making sure that this will provide the most enjoyable
playing experience possible. The fully
rebuilt version should be released this Winter.
About a year ago, Biotech released a small beta demo of the game which is still available for download here (5.5 MB). The readme file containing controls, etc. may also be found here (0.7MB). This beta contains a very old build of the game and portrays the it's state as it was a year ago, but not necessarily the transformation the game has gone through since.
